do you need a BIG TV?

do you need or do you want a BIG TV..???

in many ways, a BIG TV (which i personally define as 42 inches and above) makes less sense.....

buying a BIG HDTV to watch standard definition broadcasts? standard definition broacasts in PAL format kinda sucks, i think..... and right now, there is only ONE free-to-air HD channel in singapore, which is HD5.... and not all the programmes are in HD 1080i....... to me, channel u is the worst in terms of picture quality

further more, a bigger LCD/plasma TV is usually more expensive...... so u pay more to see more flaws (the bigger the TV, the worst SD broadcasts look)........

so it's better to buy a reasonably-sized TV for the living room and use the savings to invest in a full HD projector if you are serious about HD movies i.e. HD-DVD and BD movies......
