For a long time I have settled on using a panerai rubber strap as it's both comfortable & waterproof.... Since then all my leather straps were banished to the storeroom ....

Until now. At a recent gathering I won a nice & cool looking vintage and of cos I must put it on....

It's obvious the right side is wearing off at a faster rate... Most likely due to the higher speeds attained on left turns...

Again I was hampered by its odd behaviour during cornering on wet roads... Come on I need more grip!!

Rubber rubber

I have a weakness for rubber bead soles and tod's are one of the leaders in beautiful loafers or driving shoes.....

Using large blocks of rubber or other materials for the sole dilutes the spirit & design of this rich in tradition footwear....

Now if you can't beat them you must join them right? Imagine he surprise when I saw the latest LV loafers in the boutique: they come with rubber bead soles too!!!!!!

Smells good

To make good on my target to run more often, I changed into running
gear when I reached home....

While sipping 100 plus in the coffeeshop, I saw the storeowner serving
a plate of char kuay teow.... Looking and smelling so good!!!!

To overcome deficits, they dig deep and stick to their game plan in

However for the past few days, I have seen so many teams knocked off

Cake cake

Right now there's a little Taiwan food fare at PP and I could not
resist buying some... One of which is green tea cakes....

Rich in flavour & soft in texture, they are great as snacks... And
also good to fill the tummy. The green tea flavour is spot on and
never overbearing..... Heartily recommended! Only 3.90 force box of
10...

Ha I polished them off in no time... Cos 1 is never enough...

After meeting up with some pals at PP, I dropped by ralliart pit with
an idea of dressing up the car....

From the picture I saw in the website, I had the impression that the
fuel cap cover is a complete replacement for the stock item but alas,
it's actually a cap that fits over the plastic one.... Nah I'm not
going to drop cash on a cosmetic cover...

Other than that I was thinking of both the engine oil filler cap & the
engine plug cover.... Both are made of aluminium and are true
replacement parts.... Of the 2, the engine plug cover might improve
engine cooling but its effects could be minimal....

Anyway I went away emptyhanded....

Shadow...

Ahead of me was a silver FD2R and I just had to follow it to see what
it's made of...

On the way into Changi flyover, it filtered to the left and as usual I
will stick to the ride...

The moment it approached the turn I knew I will have no problem
closing the gap and as I pulled alongside near the apex, my 6th sense
told me the driver will respond... And sure he did..

So as the turn straightened out, he jumped to the right lane behind me
and started to follow closely.... Well well that doesn't bother me cos
I had achieved my objective....

Anyway I dun "play" on straight roads and with his superior horsepower
he easily dumped me on ECP....

Straightline he was very fast and not only that, he switched lanes
aggressively...

Maybe he didn't feel good when I managed to pull alongside & passed
him on the right...

errrrr so what can we do?

the authorities have installed detectors and stop-lift mechanisms, CCTV and still the problem exists......

maybe it's time for us to install urinals so that these guys can do it without messing up the place......

i have one question though: why did these people not pee in their pants..????

when i read the advert for panasonic LCD and plasma TVs, i was kinda tempted to go for the 50-inch full HD plasma TV .....at S$2799 only...!!!

oh yes! for less than 3 big ones, you can get a FIFTY-INCH flat screen TV ho-ho-ho to catch the world cup in full high definition!!......... well hopefully the broadcast is clear enough let you see every blade of grass in the stadiums of South Africa.....

remember the time when a 34-inch CRT TV was considered king of the living rooms??? back then such a TV will set you back at least S$3500+++..... how times have changed. nowadays a 42-inch flat screen TV is a norm in homes while a 46 is nice to have and 50 to 65 are GREAT..........

there's always a catch though. it's straightforward to buy a new TV but the problem is what to do with the present one, a 46 inch LG full HD LCD TV........? TVs arent exactly disposables, right?

since the LG is still under warranty, i think i should get the cloudy panel replaced......... and give the TV a new lease of life

i will have to learn to live with what i have.......... cheers....

Flat

Maybe there's something wrong with me. For the past few days, the
moment I reached home and washed up, I will drop flat as if I didn't
sleep for days.

No matter how much I sleep I am still tired.

Maybe waking up at 6 am is too early for me. And my body cannot get
use to it no matter what. I remember that when I started work at 9 am

In recent years, prices of precious metals have gone skyhigh.... And

For entry level pieces in sterling silver, the price of admission has
been maintained at a sane level: most people can easily afford tiffany
& co if they are eyeing siler only...

These pieces are MUCH more expensive than what I expect to pay.....

highway toll.....

we all know too well that there are 2 types of toll charges on malaysian highways......

one is collected by the toll operator..... with fixed fees to be paid at toll plazas....

and the other is comparatively unpredictable in frequency and locations ..... sometimes they are around and sometimes they do not operate at all......

remember that dr mahathir has said he welcomed SG drivers to come to malaysia to enjoy their highways cos fast cars will hit the sea in singapore by the time they reach 3rd gear........

but then we cannot simply ignore the laws of malaysia right? so when drivers exceed the speed limit there, they must be prepared to face the music when caught........ which usually means a traffic ticket or in more serious cases, a court summons.....  

my advice is pls find out what happened from the police officer who stopped you........

if you did not speed, you can state so politely..... if you did, pls admit .....

but as explained recently in local newspapers: never never attempt to offer bribes........!!!

just consult the police officer on what to do.......

if he issues you a ticket, take it.....

if he offers to compound your offence on the spot, you can of cos ask him how much is the fine....... and i dun need to state the rest.....

now this is very important, never try to bribe any police officer......OK?

In the end I am quite surprised at the small number of casualties, the
commandos must have really restrained themselves from killing anyone
if they could.... How else can we explain the number of deaths? If
