while i was taking a rest in my car in a HDB carpark, at the corner of my eye, i saw the lady in white approaching...... armed with the formidable "weapon", she's the nightmare of those who never display a parking coupon......

and as she walked in small but heavy steps, she meticulously checked every vehicle in the red parking lots.... well it's a sunday so there's free parking in the white lots...

since this was a fairly common occurrence, i didnt pay much attention until she came to this lorry........ the lady was not tall and unfortunately the season parking label on the lorry was high up on the windscreen....... in order to use her "weapon" to scan the RFID-enabled parking label, she really HAD TO STRETCHHHHHH herself.....

at the moment, i felt strange....... strange bcos this lady was so dedicated in her work........ it's a simple job i.e. to check for parking labels...... but the way she approached her job was admirable...... she's serious and thorough.....

beyond my comfort level

although i am a big fan of acrolink, i have restricted myself to only their AC cables....... 

perhaps i am still very satisfied with my current set of silver sonic signal and speaker cables..... however without trying out the competition, it's tough to get a hang of where the silver sonic is compared to the best....

when i last visited x audio, the latest range of acrolink speaker cables had just arrived...... but at S$1900 for a pair i am not ready to plunge into it..... especially when i dun spend so much time listening nowadays.......

on the other hand, S$1900 for such quality is..... quite reasonable .... haha..... if only i can convince myself ....

mazda surely must know that 140+ hp for a lump of 2000 cc is surely not enough....... especially when even the koreans can put out close to 160 hp for their engines.....

as good as the journalists can claim but for the money, i think most will pay a little more for a honda civic 2.0...... more horsepower, better looking and very competent handling .....

anything more than 10 secs for a 2.0 engine for the century sprint is ............. *shake head*.....

for better throttle response, i plan to put this in.............. and one has the choice of going for fuel saving mode if needed.......

do note that the throttle controller does not increase power .... all it does it alter the throttle response..... delivering more fuel when needed so you can have better acceleration ....

i promised myself that i will make an effort to wake up even earlier to beat the mother of traffic jams ......

and so i did.............. and left home at 0710 hrs promptly......

despite my best effort, the traffic condition was not good this morning........... as there were 2 accidents on the ECP/AYE..........

one: a 3-car collision on the benjamin sheares bridge....

two: a 1-car incident before marina south exit............. (another vehicle probably left the scene)...

so i ended up in heavy traffic.... and also met up with MANY road hoggers ....

just my luck....

it's ok....

yes it's a heartache but it's ok to lose ..... when one loses with dignity.................

at least there was the effort and the heart and the spirit............

perhaps they should sponsor their customers with on-board cameras like the one in the pic....... if more and more cars are equipped with this, the recordings would be VERY useful when investigators and surveyors need to ascertain claim information.............. drivers can no longer make untruthful claims about who and who was AT FAULT..... it would get more difficult to make a dubious claim.............. 

anyway the camera costs about S$90....... i am sure they can RECOUP the expenses in no time ....

why are the sizes for tires in millimetres while the sizes for wheels are in inches... as in width and diameter.....????

one lady at vivocity wearing a yellow gold rolex yachtmaster 2..... the very first time i saw someone wearing this watch....

one person told me..... the car can accomodate 245 and 255 mm wide tires.............

and so of cos i have no reason to doubt him...... since he sells tires for a living haha....

guess what? even with 225 mm tires, i managed to hit the rear fender...........

for so many years, the HEV on the sea-dweller was flush with the watch case..... is there any good reason for this version on the tudor?

this is by far, one of the most pleasing wheels i have seen recently....... and for a set of japanese wheels, the price is very reasonable............ if my budget was bigger, i'd surely grab this......

although all black watches are considered a trend-follower now, the concept will never die out.....

integrated is the one word that came to me immediately when i saw this new design by perrelet...... especially how the way the strap was "ingeniously" harmonised with the sleek black case..... in this way, the strap works like an extension of the case... 

can you notice where the winding crown was? yeah it's recessed ..... just under the bezel.... very clever...!

haha had a closeeeeeeee shave this morning on the way to work........ all because of too high an entry speed......

well of cos i can blame no one...... i was rushing to make the turn before the lights turn red and guess what, one van was kinda chasing me haha...... surely this was not the first time i'd run into this guy but no way am i going to let him get away...... 

so when i approached the turn, i was downshifting from five to four then three without much time for braking.... it's only when i reached the stop-line that i realised i was a little faster than usual .....TOO LATE!!!!!!!!! by that time the tires were screeching and i only had time to tap the brakes and steer the car through...... 

although the tires were complaining all the way and the car was very uncomfortable at that 

moment, i somehow managed to overcome it.....

this finally confirmed my suspicions that the yokohama a10 is nowhere near its other advan cousins.......

and armed with a limited budget, i had to exclude the hankook v12, eagle f1 asymmetric, bridgestone and better yokohama.................. 

that left me with the only possible choice.... the federal 959...!!

let me tell you, for the price, the 959 is a amazing tire............ you will be shocked at how affordable they are..... and they dun disappoint!

the moment i reached home, i wanted to give the face wash a go......
