more tudor hydro.....

by far the best pictures of the new tudor hydro is from watchquote.com................ now we can really appreciate this new introduction of a monster diving watch...... especially feaatures like the massive crown protector, cool new bezel, over-sized hour markers, combo bracelet of ceramic and steel....

one comment on the HEV (helium escape valve) though....

for so many years, the HEV on the sea-dweller was flush with the watch case..... is there any good reason for this version on the tudor?

one may be very tempted to depress it................. for it looks like HOT eject button haha

black vs black....

which is the more desired black..???

forged carbon or ceramic...??? i wonder which is tougher to manufacture...... and also more costly to make....

for 2009, AP has a forged carbon watch case for their ladies ROO watches.....

and JLC is also quick to offer a ceramic case for their ladies master compressor diving gmt.....

so is 2009 the war of the blacks...???

one thing is definite: carbon is lighter than ceramic

more black carbon

when the first carbon-cased watch from AP was launched, everyone went ga-ga over the team alinghi......... 1300 pieces for the forged carbon version were all sold out in double-quick time.......

the next carbon-cased AP ROO Offshore unveiled: singapore gp f1 edition; 250 pcs were barely enough to meet local demand............

and now finally, a non LE carbon-cased watch is now available from AP..... and it even comes with a ceramic bezel.......... how's that for improvement???

this one is worth waiting for..... and i am sure demand will be sky high..... only if you like yellow....

so watch it...!!

a tough case......

this is made for the rough guys (and gals too) out there. if u want a timepiece that is TOUGH, DARK and STYLISH, look no further......

zirconium oxide, commonly known as ceramic, is as TOUGH as you can get....... much harder than gold, platinum and steel, it is made to lasttttttttttttttttt......

and if you are often pissed by how easy your steel watch(es) get all scratched up, you will love the IWC topgun chronograph!

enlarged to 44 mm, it is a very handsome watch with a chronograph function..........what's more there are day and date indicators for the forgetful, which is so useful when u need to tear out the flaps from the parking coupons..........

just in case u overshot the timing, you can also rely on the chronograph to record the elapsed seconds and minutes.....

unfortunately the buckle is not made of ceramic............... what a pity

before the onset of the financial tsunami, this piece was quite elusive.......... lately i've seen them appearing in dealers' shelves ....... while the list price is at S$11,700, visiotime is offering a new piece at below list price.....

PS: i am not related to visiotime in any way.............
