sinn has just announced the launch of the ultimate U watch.... which is limited to 200 pcs.....

but why didnt they number the watches individually...???

engraving "Limited Edition 200" is not enough........ and to me it's a serious lack of effort on their part....

the world has become much much smaller and very much more connected now that the internet is a part of our lives...... and so we know the JLC NSA is already at dealers in the USA and europe.....

very soon it will be coming to singapore.......... and if you like alarm watches, you probably should not miss your watch to get this....

although it's limited to 1500 pcs, there should be sufficient numbers to meet the worldwide demand......

well from past experience, JLC limited edition watches are not exactly the most sought-after timepieces .... unlike examples like AP offshore limited pieces......

list price for rolex submariner 116613

even though the newly launched rolex submariner in gold and stainless steel has yet to arrive in singapore ....... it's good to know that the list price is S$14,256.... only slightly higher than the rolex gmt master 2 116713 (S$14,171)....

a likely scenario is the first few pieces might be selling at a small premium or very close to list price...... it's just my gut sense.... cos the AD that i talked to did not wanna commit ...

we'll see...

safe choice...

i think this will sell pretty well for tag...... the design is safe and if the price is reasonable, surely it will appeal to tag fans......

an interesting choice is to have the date/cyclops at 9 o'clock.......... maybe they just wanna be different that's all......

back to basics omega

many years ago i was a big omega fan...... and my dream watch back then was the omega speedmaster chronograph watch.... 

in time i outgrew my liking for omega and became more of a rolex fan.............. even though that hurt my pockets even more.....

from the look of this new release, i think omega may have a winner on their hands...... right in the thick of the action where BIG and CHUNKY dive watches have become the rage, omega have given their new model the winning touches....

one knock on a person's head with the watch will be enough to cause serious injury...... so i think this one may even save you from the sharks...... just bash its head and perhaps it will swim away in double-quick time........

as always, going back in time to honour history could bring success...... as omega did

a nice touch is the ceramic inserts for the bracelet........

after rolex introduced the sea-dweller deepsea and pulled the plug on the sea-dweller, the gap between the 300m-rated submariner and 3900m deepsea is way way too wide....

but instead of a new model to bridge that gap, they passed the buck to tudor in the form of the hydro...... rated down to 1200 m......... WOOHOO!!!

and this is a seriously good-looking diving timepiece....... ! i think it's going to be reasonably affordable for all the great features it come with......

so it looks as thick as a tin car of tobacco...? almost almost, surely it's a chunk of a watch...... and one needs a big wrist to carry the look....

since the real stuff is out........... we can all judge between the old and the new range of IWC aquatimer diving watches......

most noteworthy is the new rotating bezel......... it's now an external device...... and i think most IWC fans are quite horrified with this change.....

it might just attract new fans to the range........... probably......

as always , we all need time to adjust to changes......

my gut feel? it all looks like that tag heuer will do to their diving watches.......... it's becoming less of IWC......... the feel is gone.....

an IWC for the sea

managed to see a 2500 pcs LE IWC aquatimer costeau chronograph in the AD's display case............

with the downturn in the whole wide world, demand for luxury watches does take a hit i guess.....

so if u like this 2007 costeau diving chronograph, get it now..........

especially as the 08 version is nowhere as nice...

wowo ........ here's the new richard mille diving watch....... which is a all new design called the RM025.........

i find it incredible when they managed to squeeze a chronograph and tourbillon this the case...... and even make it work......... i cannot imagine the challenge and complexity involved..... WOW!

alas, it's a manual-winding timepiece.......... to make the 300m WR possible, the trademark rm tonneau case was dropped........ no choice bcos of the huge water pressure down low ....

to me, this is a jaw-dropping effort.............!! i have no idea how much will it costs............. but it wont come cheap........
