just say so....

yes indeed...

just say so and tell us the truth...

to have to get the CEO to admit the mistake is a big BOO BOO for tag heuer....

read more here.....

but in short, they "adopted" a seiko movement and marketed it as their "own"... and was found out by some keen-eyed people....

dumping or flooding....??

time waits for no man or in this case, no watch haha.....

in recent days and weeks, the number of pam 312 watches put up for sale is beginning to dilute the strong asking prices that were prevalent only about a month ago......

of cos the very first few pieces commanded a small premium at about S$10,500...... then it was closer to S$10,000......

these days? well, pieces from overseas are available at lower than the singapore list price......

isnt that cool..??? YEAH!! great for the buyer....... and i am sure the production volume will catch up with the demand in time to come...

by then even ADs will have to sell at a small discount.....

exclusive 2 ....

i think the term in-house movement shd be used more exclusively......

and between using generic movements, there is a trend towards having in-group movements....
so what is in-group..???

now that many watch brands are owned by BIG business entities, their source of inspiration, design and manufacturing are no longer just hidden within the manufactures.... e.g. brands of the richemont group can look to Val Fleurier...

and i have now drawn a line between true in house movements e.g. rolex 3135.... and in-group movements e.g. panerai p9000..... last and least we have the outsourced movements.....

so beware when they tell u everything is in-house....

for more information, you may read this http://www.robbreport.com/Underground-Movements.aspx

exclusive....

some will tell you their watches come with inhouse movements.... but never be too certain about marketing literature...... we all know a few outsource the manufacturing to specialist contractors....

there's nothing wrong with using outsourced contractors but pls be upfront about their origin....

and when one buys over the specialist contractor, suddenly one becomes a manufacture.... haha

it's so simple....

rolex movements......

for those people who keep insisting that rolex movements are plain and poorly decorated, pls open up your eyes and take a good look............ these ought to make them eat their words............

one can now appreciate the quality of a rolex movement and also its beauty......... do compare with the types of decoration in my earlier post

watch movements and decoration

very often we read how artisans spend countless hours working on watch movements......... especially on works such as polishing and decorating the parts.....

question: what are the types of decoration?

to help our readers understand better, here are some pictures and reference ........... so much easier to have pics than trying to explan what is cotes de geneve right??
