something needs to be done.....

something needs to be done ...... action needs to be taken against road hoggers...... cos there are too many of them nowadays.......

inconsiderate, selfish and disruptive, their nonchalant behaviour is giving me fits..... way too slow but just plain lazy to lift a finger to move to the left....... why are such people allowed on the roads.......

they should be given punitive demerit points..... to make them wake up ....... since there are demerit points for speeding, there shd be a system to punish road hoggers.......

i suggest....... for every 5 km/h below the speed limit of the road/vehicle, the driver shd be docked 6 points.......... therefore, if one was driving at 80 km/h on a 90 km/h highway, he will get 12 demerit points........

it may force them to wake up and actively regulate their speed to suit road conditions........ many a times, i observed that "jams" along highways are caused by these slow moving vehicles who REFUSED to accelerate to keep up when the roads open up......

however, to make the system fair and equitable, it should be applied sparingly on clear and open road conditions...... and against stubborn and habitual road hoggers.......

similarly vehicles that stop at traffic lights should act responsibly..... they must accelerate smoothly and swiftly when the lights turn green..... if they are slow, the effect at the end of the queue is MULTIPLIED many folds....... everyone suffers......

another observation, pls pls pls do not slow down at the highway so that you have sufficient time to insert the cashcard in the IU........ it is very irresponsible behavour and highly dangerous...... it also causes ridiculous traffic tailbacks.....
