fancy some fish skin... ?

watch straps come in all kinds of exotic materials ....... be it calf, alligator, shark skin, lizard skin, ostrich and so on......

in comparison, materials used for belts are comparatively less adventurous...... so i was kinda surprised to see this one from dunhill...... a range of belts in stingray !!

they look great ..! except for the buckle ..... what a pity.....

belt and buckle

when i first saw this at dunhill boutiques last week, i thought...... hmmmm, that's quite a fun-looking accessory to have..... must be a very recent release.....

i like the dunhill text and cast in a bronze/gold finish, is a perfect matching buckle for the brown leather belt........

more suitable for play than for work, i suspect it will find its way onto jeans and chinos mostly .... doesnt go with business pants i think.....

are we very much into retro these days??

well i dun intend to buy any belts in the near future......... so i will pass.............. but dun let that stop you....... it's a very handsome looking belt.........

btw i am still looking for a pendant................a suitable pendant such as this one, but it's very expensive for a steel pendant......... although it's just perfectly-sized......

then how about a tote-bag.......... hehe.......... the LV damier graphite tadao is perfect at S$2160.........

when its pics first appeared, i wasnt keen.......... it didnt look THAT nice at all back then......... it was until i saw a SUPER BIG poster for the damier graphite tadao......... AHHHH i realised, it really is WONDERFUL......

u can use it for work...... and also on your leisure days............. it is large enough for your A4 folders and laptop plus any other things u might need such as a change of clothes and water bottle.......... use it as a tote or if u prefer, sling the strap over your shoulders........... very versatile indeed.......

there's also a zip for the main compartment so that no one can peep into your bag...... :)

it's a little on the expensive side....... but hey quality dun come cheap......

leather bound.........

over the weekend i went to lv raffles hotel to take a look........ i just wanna see the damier graphite upclose and personal....... do they look better in real life than in pictures???

yes yes i think they do........ they are nice of cos..... but they wont make me abandon monogram and damier ebony/azur overnight...... hehe

since lv raffles hotel do not carry shoes, i did not have the chance to see my fav elan sneakers...... in fact my main aim was to see and touch the damier graphite inventeur belt........... ah too bad there was none..........

it's ok....... at least i got to see these 2...... the CUT and the FORCE......

without any doubt, the CUT is just so ......... handsome...... especially that silver brass buckle...... i must confess i took a good few minutes to caress the buckle.... :)

as for the FORCE...... well i dun really like pin buckle cos it stresses the belt and cuts short the useful life............ pity cos it's nice but it may not last so long compared to the CUT and inventeur.....

no matter what this is still my favourite buckle...... the LV initials!!

manly belts.....

belts are great accessories...... especially good at spicing up your office or casual outfits...... just make sure u match your belt with your shoes ok.....

if you crave after exotic skins, you probably will like the following one in lizard skin...... the buckle is kinda retro in design and is a dunhill signature......... i am not quite a reptile fan but this one is cool..... how far can one go with brown calf leather, right? lizard skin is far more interesting.....

even more exotic from dunhill is the brown bony crocodile belt....... using the tough leather from the back of this fierce predator, the hornback is both playful and adventurous.......... a gold or brass buckle usually looks better with brown leather but yet the industrial-looking buckle does not look out of place at all

if exotic skins are not for you, then consider the next one...... much more versatile, it is reversible and also more suitable for work....... i especially like the palladium-plated buckle.......
