road conditions in the city on saturdays are more than reasonable..... so why do we need ERP (electronic road pricing) on saturdays????

i find it ridiculous.....

and btw, since it was determined that a batch of faulty cashcards had created a mayhem of problems for motorists....... can the LTA refund us the fines they collected due to the technical glitch???

weekend...

yes the weekend is finally here........ after a sucky week, it feels really good.....

i forsee things will only get worse and i need to make my way out...... soon, if not now....

anyway i managed to wake up a little extra earlier today...... and after reading the papers, i was thinking of how to spend the afternoon.....

i could visit a few of the rolex ADs to see if they are willing to sell at more reasonable prices than before....... well looking at the bad economic condition at the moment, they probably might be willing to deal at better discounts.......

or i could just sleep my afternoon away hehe.....

recently i'd spent quite alot..... so maybe i should just stay away from all these tempting stuff........ be it watches, audio components, super light-weight laptops, jewellery, bags and so on .........

but you know, time wait for no man and if you pass the period where you can still enjoy, you can never turn back the clock...... anyway most importantly, one needs to strike a balance....... save what you should and spend prudently.....

in fact quite a few malaysian politicians are into horology and watches....

i have seen quite a few pics of Education Minister Hishamuddin and Khairy Jamaluddin wearing a panerai.....

sunday shopping updated: tiffany & co

well i am still quite perplexed why mont blanc stainless steel is so dear........ to satisfy my curiousity, i went to take another look........ NO GO is my conclusion....

anyway i decided to give tiffany & co another chance...... this time round, there was no doorman at the entrance so i had to push the door open.... DIY

i spent time browsing their pendants on the tiffany webpage ...... and found the 1837 range and the titanium pendants worthy of consideration..... so at the boutique, i went straight to the male pendant showcase to take a closer look......

titanium pendants are priced at around S$600+ ...... while the stirling silver ones around S$400+.... while titanium has a cool darker finish, i prefer the luster of silver.......

and so it is...... the familiar little carrier....



with a little box inside........



i gently removed the ribbon......



and opened the box....

sunday shopping

on sunday (which was yesterday) i went to ngee ann city to check out my shortlist of "candidates"......... my choice of ring and pendant.....

first stop: bvlgari boutique

a quick browse through their collection of watches, rings and pendants................ hhhmmmm i concluded they looked better in pictures so i decided to pass......... i think cartier has better designs and selections.....

but bvlgari has a classier elevator than cartier's..... :)

2nd stop: cartier boutique

in no time, i approached one of the sales reps to show me the trinity ring........... i wanted it plain so no diamond please.........



the choice was between the thick and the normal band....... and after trying both, decided that the thicker ring looks and fits better..... and now i know my ring sizes for both right and left ring fingers....

i decided i want the trinity ring! of cos i requested the sales rep to check if they have a new piece..........

but alas, the last piece has been reserved the day before!! damn it!! and to order would take at least 3 months!! gosh what should i do.....?????

it's ok.......... i can always seek out somthing else......... thank you and please come again to cartier boutique hehe............

well it's pretty fun to try all the pretty rings......

i wanted to take another look at the LV pendant but there's a queue outside the boutique........... NAH forget it..... i can always go to raffles hotel

ah just to clarify why is the samsung listed at S$599 in my earlier posting.........

it's actually priced at S$699 at harvey norman but since there is a S$100 voucher thrown in, the effective price is S$599.....

furthermore, it comes with a free hdmi cable......

a reasonably good deal....... right?

saw a recent advertisement about high calcium milk............ even if the content of calcium is many times higher than "normal" milk........ what makes you think the human body can absorb all of it..????

so is high calcium milk REALLY beneficial? i have no idea at all...........

pls consult your doctor.... if not, normal milk will do....
