and if i can find a good condition sample at around S$400, then my back-door way into the dark side will become easier........... cos right now i dun think i can spare enough cash to buy a new turntable.....
patience is key when it comes to waiting...... just like fishing, one gotta wait...... and sometimes the waiting game can be a killer......
once the table is in the next steps will be to get a aftermarket armboard and upgrade the stock arm to a rega or jelco pickup arm.....
so my projected costs are:
preowned technics sl-1200 mk 2 $450
armboard $100
tonearm $500
total $1050
timeline? ...... well very flexible and at no rush
