everyone knows that the higher the pressure of the machine, the more effective it can extract the full flavour from the beans / capsules.... comparing 19 bar from Nespresso vs 15 bar from the newcomer Tiziano, what can one make out of it???

at the upcoming metro expo sale, one can get the Tiziano at only S$299 with a complete set of coffee and tea capsules FOC.... for those that love tea, a machine that serves both coffee and tea is a lovely proposition... not to forget the Tiziano has a milk-frothing attachment as well....

since they are also offering samples for tasting, maybe should visit and try things out..... on the other hand, why not just stick to instant coffee powder and condensed milk?????

What I saw at tangs was an offer of $50 off for Nespresso coffee machines.... Hardly enough to make people bite

Even though I have a $50 voucher I wasn't sure it's a right thing to buy now.... Of cos $50 + $50 is a $100 discount..... Plus 6% tangs rebate.....

But like I mentioned, the usage may not be sufficiently frequent to spend the $$$$$

Before i forget, do note that there's a mass order thread on Nespresso machines on hardwarezone..... The prices offered are significantly lower than the RRP...... So if you are keen, go and find out.....

Unless you are sure you could finish the bag of beans in the open-type machines in a week, the Nespresso is a better choice cos all the capsules are sealed for good......

chitty chatty.....

i must be too tired.... very very tired cos i slept all the way until noon ..... and despite all the hours of rest, i was still tired.......

what finally made me got me out of bed was CSS........ well he was nearby and asked if i was free for coffee...... yeah why not ... since i am always ready for a morning cuppa.... but in this case, it's more like an afternoon cuppa haha.....

as usual we talked about many things.... but there's a slight difference this week.... which is the continuation of the 850-dollar man..... how could we make this guy go shopping..???? if he's not going to spend it on himself, why not spend on his friends?? haha.......

get him to buy things for CSS, LWL and me ............YES! that's the plan......

firstly we must get him to show-hand...... i.e. show his account balance.... and then arm-twist him to buy things for us.......

thick and thin

over coffee, the topic was about THICK and THIN........

so as we found out, the Toast was THICK ... but the Otah was THIN..... even though the item was OTAH THICK TOAST....... and my friend said, it's not THICK OTAH TOAST......

maybe they should rename it as THIN OTAH ON THICK TOAST........

oh that's a cuppaaa

it came as abit of a surprise when i found out that some foodcourts are selling coffee at 1.50 a cuppaaa....... in comparison, most coffeeshops charge 80 cents for a cup of coffee....

although the rentals at downtown retail areas are much higher than in the heartlands..... i find it barely acceptable they want almost double for the same thing.....

as consumers we have a choice...... but i found out too late about the high prices.......

anyway it's a good enough reason to stay away from food republic.....

nowadays i find myself getting lazy....... so instead of preparing my morning coffee fix the usual way, i do it the 3 in 1 way......... i.e. add water to the coffee mix and CUPPA..!

most 3-in-1 coffee mixes are plain .... tasteless and sorely lacking in oommphhhh but i am surprised this one is an exception........ it packs quite a punch in fact.....

extremely difficult to find and always out-of-stock, dun hesitate to buy this when u have the chance.......... prices vary too......... it was S$6.20 at cold storage supermarkets but only S$5.00 over at NTUC...... dun ask me why .....just very weird.......

if u like coffee, i am sure u will like this...... in case you cant find, OLD TOWN brand white coffee is not too bad .......... pretty close in taste...
