In the early days, mobile call charges were expensive while SMS was free.....
Back then hardly anyone used SMS.... And telcos didn’t realise it could be a cash cow....
So when SMS became more and more popular, the telcos put a cap on it....
Now? SMS traffic has dropped so much that there’s nothing to be made from it....
The future is data of cos....
And again the telcos didn’t realise just a few years ago how things would turn out.......
Someone must have thought that 12 Gb is a magic number and now they regret they had been over generous....
So what they do?
Cap it of cos...!!
