in motorsports, a gap of 0.11 s can be hugely significant........ maybe between being the pole sitter and 3rd or 4th on the starting grid......

but when it comes to a distance of 100 metres, 0.11 s is really a MILE of a difference...... some might describe the acceleration as mind-blowing........
