everyone knows that the higher the pressure of the machine, the more effective it can extract the full flavour from the beans / capsules.... comparing 19 bar from Nespresso vs 15 bar from the newcomer Tiziano, what can one make out of it???

at the upcoming metro expo sale, one can get the Tiziano at only S$299 with a complete set of coffee and tea capsules FOC.... for those that love tea, a machine that serves both coffee and tea is a lovely proposition... not to forget the Tiziano has a milk-frothing attachment as well....

since they are also offering samples for tasting, maybe should visit and try things out..... on the other hand, why not just stick to instant coffee powder and condensed milk?????

To make good on my target to run more often, I changed into running
gear when I reached home....

While sipping 100 plus in the coffeeshop, I saw the storeowner serving
a plate of char kuay teow.... Looking and smelling so good!!!!

Ahhhhhhh alas I must resist!!! So oily & fattening!!!!!

Urchin...

Saw a tv show on seafood...& the host was trying fresh sea urchin sashimi..

This reminded me of the time when CSS & I were having dinner.....

Facing the slab of sea urchin we had ordered, he said.... he dun wanna taste urine... cos sea urchin sashimi tasted like urine....

sunday's buy

other than stepping out for lunch and coffee, i didnt go out at all on fri and sat....... and i told myself, i am gonna get out on sunday.....

after going one entire round from raffles hotel arcade to raffles city shopping centre, i ended up with a bag of biscuits and sweets from marks and spencer....... i took one basket and began filling it up... haha so difficult to resist their goodies when they so are delicious....

other than that there's nothing much to buy.......

there was a sale at FCUK: some items at 50% and some at 30%.......

robinsons: nothing interesting......

topman: boring.....

so buying snacks makes more sense........

yes...

having desserts at restaurants may be cheaper after all.....

cos not all ice-creams are created equal....... some surely are more expensive than others....

haha....

if not just stick to macdonald's hot fudge sundae..... not only cheap but good.....

stiff neck 2.....

right now i can feel alittle discomfort at the neck.....but then i woke up feeling ok...... so it shd not be sleep-related.....

maybe i'd braked too hard on the way to town earlier...... haha i braked till ABS was activated while trying to cut in front of a bus....

OUCH....

hehe but anyway everything's still under control and when one is tired from walking, what he needs is a coffee-break

it's abit silly to go back empty handed after a shopping trip....... but i know i didnt need new clothes or new shoes right now.....hehe although the temptation is always there....

and since i am saving up for something else, i am also aware of the need to cut down the frills...... so even though there are clothes at 50% off, 30% off and so on...... i did not flinch ....

so what did i do...???

i bought kimchi and apples from isetan supermarket instead.... haha.....

comfort food to fill the tummy will do for this round......

while at gramophone, i very much wanted to buy this...... and after listening to it with the supplied headphones, i almost did...

in the end, i passed ..... maybe next time......

and then i went to marks and spencer to buy CHOCOLATES haha.............

and ended up spending more than the price of a CD.....

i was having a strong urge to snack...... and so after work, i went to the neighbourhood store to get BUBBLE TEA..!!!

and oh come on it's only S$1.00 ... and with pearls TOO..!!

YUMMY... haha...

although the little key holder was not fully filled last night, we the people are all fully FILLED..!!!

nothing was left at all...... from the satay..... the wantan mee...... the fried oysters..... the frog porridge......... not forgetting the supersweetened grass jelly drink...

chai chee minced pork noodles.....

if u frequent east coast road for food or just happen to pass by, you'd know that for a period of time there was this chai chee noodle store and also the hong kong cafe..... before these 2 there was a japanese restaurant but that's another story altogether .....

when first opened for business, they sold the noodles at $4........ then later $3 and finally at $3.50.......

and then the noodle store disappeared .... and my usual supper haunt evaporated into the deep of the night......

a good few weeks ago, someone told me that chai chee noodle store is back........ yeah so they are back at $3.80.....

taste? slightly better than before..... decor is slightly different and crockery is all new...... staff all new as well..... haha

suddenly i recall LKK telling me this.....

his friend only knows of duan wu jie aka dragon boat festival as BAK CHANG jie.....

errr... i was thinking what happened to his friend..???
