but sunday was special i guess.......... so they went all out to wanna beat united.....

against sunderland they were miserably poor.....

a most impressive performance.... but of cos aided by 2 penalties.....

somehow the good feeling from the victory over 9-time european champions real madrid has stuck on to liverpool.....

it was 4 goals last week and now 5.....

however no complacency please......

the moment i saw the scoreline i was dumbfounded................ after all these years, i am still amazed at what liverpool can do on these special european nights... where they surely fear no one....

i quite cant believe it.....

instead of imposing themselves on the game early, they had to concede a goal and then another to go 1-2 down at half time.....

in the end they emerged 3-2 winners in this see-saw game of football in anfield, liverpool.......

well done......

but it's not good for our hearts......

i have witnessed many famous liverpool comebacks.......... usually on a night of slick european soccer.... this one is different............

and this one, although just a premier league match, was of utmost importance.....

firstly to keep pace with chelsea,
secondly to preserve a unbeaten league record and
most importantly to silence the new-found confidence of the city fans......... bouyant cos they are now loaded with middle-eastern CASH....

looking at the how the game was played in the 1st half, i was pretty stunned to see liverpool trailing by 2 goals............ i thought while city was slick, liverpool wasnt really playing badly.....

i am most impressed with the way they fought back............ on many occasions, when liverpool was down, they were usually out in no time............ this season, we have seen them come back in fantastic fashion......

well done.... for a most exciting game......

another amazing night at anfield.....

half the job done as liverpool beat fc porto 4-1 at anfield...... it was a MUST WIN game and the reds did their job....

a double strike from torres, a converted penalty by steven gerrard and peter crouch rounded off the night with a header from close range....

surprise surprise, besiktas came through 2-1 against marseille and the group is now OPEN.... all four can still qualify......

match day 6 will be something to look forward to......

kudos to liverpool........... may not have the best but it was enough to do the job......
