Diaoyu islands are occupied by Japan.... But the Japs insist there is no territorial dispute.... To be fair, blame the Americans: they were the one who handed the islands over to Japan.......
Meanwhile Kurile islands are occupied by Russia .... But the Russians are in no rush to return to Japan while the Japanese can't wait to get them back..... These northern islands have a special place in history as it was the rendezvous area for the carrier strike force that eventually attacked pearl harbour on Dec 7 1941...
So who is making the right noises?????
